Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VisitAnyCityUSA.com ("VisitAnyCityUSA," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit this website (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
VisitAnyCityUSA is an independent travel-information website that publishes destination guides and free planning tools, and earns commissions through affiliate links. We do not sell travel directly; bookings happen on third-party partner sites. You can reach us through our contact form.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us through our form, or sign up for our newsletter where offered, we collect what you choose to provide — typically your email address and the contents of your message. We do not have user accounts and we do not process payments on the Site.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical and usage data when you visit, such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address), device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, primarily via analytics (see below).
What we do not collect. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and because we have no accounts or checkout, we do not collect payment card details or store passwords.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use them to:
- Measure traffic (analytics). We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the Site is used. Google sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address and usage activity on our behalf. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy.
- Attribute affiliate referrals. When you click an affiliate link, the partner (for example Booking.com, Kayak, Viator, Amazon, or an insurance marketplace) may set a cookie so any resulting booking or purchase is credited to us. These cookies are controlled by those partners.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies may affect how some features work.
Affiliate links and advertising
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking or purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This includes the Amazon Associates Program:
As an Amazon Associate, VisitAnyCityUSA earns from qualifying purchases.
Our recommendations reflect our genuine opinions and are not influenced by whether a link is monetized. See our Terms of Use for more.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Site, understand which content and tools are useful, respond to your messages, send our newsletter if you have subscribed, attribute affiliate referrals, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed with: service providers that help us run the Site (such as our analytics provider and hosting platform); affiliate and advertising partners, through the cookies described above; and authorities or others when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Site.
Third-party sites
The Site links to third-party websites we do not control, including our affiliate partners. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them before providing personal information or completing a booking.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email, control cookies in your browser, opt out of Google Analytics, and contact us through our form to ask about the information we hold.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you may have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. Our legal basis for processing is typically your consent (for non-essential cookies and the newsletter) and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site.
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, contact us through our contact form.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Aggregated and anonymized analytics data may be retained longer, as it does not identify you.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International visitors
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Site, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Significant changes may be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
